7th Pay Commission: Central employees hit the jackpot! This time there could be a huge jump in the basic salary

7th Pay Commission Latest Update: As soon as the new government is formed, the Modi government is going to give a big gift to the central employees. Let us tell you, this decision can be announced soon.

Actually, according to sources, the Finance Ministry is considering increasing the minimum salary for central government employees (basic salary hike). Let us know about it in detail in the news-

A big news has come out for central employees. The next pay commission is unlikely to come, but the government can bring a big increase in the basic salary. This will directly benefit lakhs of government employees. Modi government (7th Pay Commission latest Update) can soon announce a big gift for central employees.

If sources are to be believed, the Finance Ministry is considering fixing the minimum salary for central employees at Rs 21,000 instead of Rs 18,000. Till now, the minimum salary is fixed at Rs 18,000 on the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission (DA hike Update). This minimum salary is for level-1 employees. The salary is different at different pay-bands and levels. But, the salary increases there also in the same proportion.

Changes in it only after the budget

This time, instead of bringing the next pay commission, the government is planning to directly increase the basic salary. This means that there can be a big change in the salary of central employees. After the implementation of the recommendations of the Pay Commission at the end of 2016 (Dearness Allowance Update),

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had promised to increase the minimum salary of central employees by Rs 18,000. But, since then, the government has not taken any concrete decision in this direction. If sources are to be believed, it is being considered, maybe some information related to it (basic Salary Hike) will be shared in the budget. But, there is a possibility of change in it only after the budget.

So much increase in basic salary

In the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, the fitment factor (7th commission latest news) was kept at 2.57 times. On this basis, the salary of central employees was revised. If we look at the figures, the 7th Pay Commission got the lowest salary hike. However, the basic salary was made Rs 18000.

There is a discussion that the fitment factor can be changed to 3.68 times. In such a situation, the minimum salary can increase from Rs 18 thousand to Rs 27,000 (Budget 2024 Update). But, if sources are to be believed, it can be increased to 3 times. This can increase the minimum salary by Rs 3000. With this, the salary of the employees can be Rs 21000.

Why is an increase in basic salary necessary?

  • Effect of inflation: Due to rising inflation, the purchasing power of central employees (DA hike news) has reduced. An increase in basic salary will improve their financial condition.
  • Standard of living: Higher salary will improve the standard of living of employees and they will be able to meet their needs.
  • Productivity will increase: Increase in salary will also increase the productivity of employees (8th apy commission), which will also improve the quality of government services.

When will the announcement be made?

The government may soon make an official announcement in this regard. This announcement can be made after the Union Budget 2024. At the same time, central employees have great expectations from the government. They hope that this time the government will take concrete steps to improve their income.
