The Finance Department of Haryana Government has issued an order on Thursday, April 20. According to the order, the DA of government employees has increased by 4 percent. Now DA has increased from 38% to 42% of basic salary. This increase will be considered applicable from January 1, 2023. However, the money for the hike will come in the salary at the end of April.
Will get 3 months DA arrears
The Haryana government will also give DA arrears of 3 months from January to March to the employees. This 3 months DA arrears will come in April salary. This arrear will be from January to March 2023. Along with DA, Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners has also been increased by 4 per cent. Pensioners will also get increased DA from January. According to the order, this increased DR will be available in the month of May.
DR and DA are increased twice a year
DA and DR are revised twice a year in January and July. Dearness allowance is given to government employees, while dearness relief is given to pensioners. Last month, the central government also increased the DA for its employees by 4 per cent to 42 per cent, which increased their salaries. Earlier, the last revision in DA was done on September 28, 2022 and it came into effect from July 1, 2022.
