7th Pay Commission DA Hike : It is confirmed! Dearness allowance will be 46%, data released, there will be a huge increase in salary

This is how DA is calculated

DA is calculated on Basic Salary. If someone’s salary is Rs 20,000, then at the rate of 4 per cent his salary will increase by Rs 800 in a month.

Basic Salary (BasicPay) – Rs 31550

  • New Dearness Allowance (DA) – 46% – Rs 14513/month
  • Current Dearness Allowance (DA) – 42% – Rs 13251/month
  • 4% Dearness Allowance (DA) increase – Rs 1262 (per month) will come more
  • Annual Dearness Allowance – Rs 15144 more will be given on 4% increase
  • Total annual dearness allowance – will be Rs 1,74,156 (at 46 per cent)

When can DA be announced

Dearness Allowance for July 2023 has been confirmed. But, there is still time to announce it. Sources reveal that it can be announced in the month of September. Usually, dearness allowance is approved by the cabinet in September itself. After this the Finance Ministry notifies it and after that it is paid to the central government employees. The difference of this increased dearness allowance, which remains for two months, is given to the central employees in the form of arrears.
