7th Pay Commission : For the third time in a row, central employees will put ‘four, know how much salary will increase this time!

7th Pay Commission: There is good news for more than one crore central government employees and pensioners. If everything goes well, there can be a good increase in dearness allowance of central employees and pension of pensioners.

According to the data of AICPI index from January to June 2023 released by the Ministry of Labour, this time also an increase of up to 4 percent in Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) and Dearness Relief (DR Hike) is possible. If this happens, the dearness allowance may increase from the current 42 per cent to 46 per cent.

However, it has not been announced by the government yet and the employees are waiting for the official announcement of the government. If all goes well, the central government can announce a hike in dearness allowance anytime between Raksha Bandhan and Diwali. Along with this, another good thing is that the increase in DA, i.e. the increased rates, will be considered applicable only from July 1, 2023, last month.

Actually, the Central Government (7th Pay Commission) increases the DA of its employees on the basis of inflation ratio. Based on the AICPI index data for June 2023, there is a possibility of a 4 per cent hike in DA this time too. If this happens, it will be the third time that the dearness allowance will be increased by 4 percent.

Let us tell you that in July 2022, the dearness allowance was increased from 34 to 38 percent with an increase of 4 percent. After that, for the second time on March 24, 2023, the dearness allowance of central employees was increased by 4 percent. Thereafter, the DA increased from 38 to 42 per cent. This time too, if there is a 4 per cent increase in dearness allowance, it will jump from 42 to 46 per cent. If this happens, then there can be an annual increase in the salary of central employees from Rs 8,000 to Rs 27,000.

Thus, the central employees hope that the government will continue this trend of 4% increase in DA this time also (7th Pay Commission). If this happens, there could be a hat-trick of 4 per cent hike in DA for three consecutive terms. However, now everyone is focusing on the increase in dearness allowance.

The central government reviews and hikes dearness allowance (DA hike) and pensioners’ dearness relief (DR hike) twice a year, in January and July, based on data.

It is important that this increase in Dearness Allowance (DA hike) and Dearness Relief (DA hike), may benefit about 47.58 lakh central employees and 69.76 lakh pensioners.
