7th Pay Commission: There is good news for more than one crore Central Government Employees and pensioners across the country. If all goes well, then the wait for the DA hike may end soon. It has become clear from the latest data of AICPI index that this time also the DA of central employees can be increased by 4 percent. In this way, the dearness allowance of the employees may increase from 42 per cent to 46 per cent.
In fact, recently, the Union Ministry of Labor released the figures of AICPI index for June 2023. The June data of the AICPI index has registered a very good growth. A big increase of 1.7 points (7th Pay Commission) has been recorded in the AICPI index figure for June as compared to May.
While the AICPI index stood at 134.7 points in May, it increased to 136.4 points in June. After this, the DA Hike score has increased to 46.24 per cent in June from 45.58 per cent in May. On the basis of this, speculations are being made that this time too DA will increase to 46 per cent.
Increased expectation from AICPI index
The dearness allowance of central employees and dearness relief of pensioners are reviewed and increased on the basis of the data of AICPI index released by the Union Ministry of Labour. Based on the half-yearly figures of January to June of AICPI, it is being estimated that there may be an increase of 4 percent in dearness allowance this time also. January- 132.8, February- 132.7, March- 133.3, April- 134.2, May- 134.7 and in June it increased to 136.4 points.
4 percent increase in DA expected for the third time in a row
Central employees and pensioners say that for the third time in a row, there is a possibility of a 4 percent increase in their DA and DR (7th Pay Commission). However, it will be clear only after the official announcement by the Central Government that how much will be the increase in DA this time. According to reports, the central government may announce a hike in dearness allowance and dearness relief in September or October.
Finance Ministry will issue notification
Explain that in the month of September-October, the dearness allowance is approved by the Union Cabinet. After this, it is notified by the Union Finance Ministry. After that the central government pays it to the employees. Dearness Allowance comes into effect from 1st July itself. The government pays the increased dearness allowance in the form of arrears to the employees at an interval of two-three months.
Salary of employees can increase so much
With a 4 per cent increase in dearness allowance (7th Pay Commission), the DA of employees with a basic salary of Rs 18,000 is expected to increase by Rs 720 per month and Rs 8,640 per year. On the other hand, at the level of cabinet secretary, whose basic salary is Rs 56,900, they will get Rs 2276 per month and Rs 27,312 annually.
