7th Pay Commission: Uttarakhand government has made a big announcement. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced to increase the Dearness Allowance of state government employees. With this, DA of employees has increased from 42 percent to 46 percent.
The payment of increased dearness allowance will be effective from July 1, 2023 and the dues will be paid to the beneficiaries in cash. According to the order, from January 1, 2024, the revised dearness allowance will be paid to the employees along with their per month salary. It says that this will apply to state government employees and regular and full-time employees of government-aided educational and technical educational institutions.
The Central Government had also increased DA in October.
Let us tell you that on October 18, 2023, the Union Cabinet had announced 4 increase in DA of Central Government employees and pensioners. This decision will benefit 48.67 lakh employees and 67.95 lakh pensioners.
This proposal was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now DA of government employees and DR of pensioners has increased to 46 percent. While giving information about this decision of the Cabinet, Union Minister Anurag Thakur had said that the increased allowance will be applicable from July 1, 2023.
