7th Pay Commission: This is very important news for more than one crore central employees and pensioners who have been waiting for increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief for a long time.
The wait for increase in DA and DR for these people may be long. Actually, earlier there were reports in the media that the government may announce increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief in September this month.
After this, news came that the government can gift a hike in DA and DR to central employees and pensioners on Navratri. But now news is coming that it may take some more time for the government to give approval for DA-DR Hike. However, there are full chances of announcement of increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief before Diwali.
At present, there is no update from the government regarding the date of announcement of increase in dearness allowance. But it is certain that whenever the increase is announced, the increased rate will be considered applicable from July 1, 2023 only and they will also get its arrears.
If everything goes well, central employees may get increased salary in the month of November. Along with this, arrears for three months of July, August and September can also be received. However, no formal information has been given by the government regarding this yet.
Let us tell you that on the basis of AICPI data released by the Labor Ministry, the government decides to increase dearness allowance and dearness relief. There is a possibility of 4 percent increase in dearness allowance this year.
If this happens then the current dearness allowance will increase from 42 to 46 percent. Let us tell you that dearness allowance is calculated on the basis of the basic salary of the employees.
