Soldiers will get its benefit
Actually, a notification has been issued by the central government that soldiers will be given 40 days salary as bonus. Let us tell you that the Defense Ministry will give productivity linked bonus to eligible defense civilian employees of Indian Army and Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) for the financial year 2023-24. Approval has been received from the President to give this amount.
This is how the bonus will be calculated
The soldiers will be given the bonus amount according to the salary. This will be 10 days extra from one month’s salary, i.e. a total of 40 days’ salary will be given as bonus. This bonus will be given to eligible defense civilian employees of Indian Army and Army Ordnance Corps keeping in mind their work and performance. Also know that this bonus will be given to all Group B (non-gazetted) and C civilian employees of AOC and Indian Army, who are covered under PLB Scheme. The calculation limit of this bonus will be up to 7000.
These rules were made for casual labour
After doing the complete calculation, the value that comes after dividing the average salary of soldiers by 30.4 will be multiplied by 30. For example, if the salary of an employee is Rs 20,000 for the whole month, then he will get more than Rs 19,700 as bonus.
It is worth noting here that all other conditions under the bonus limit and under the PLB scheme will remain the same as before. On the other hand, the bonus payment for temporary workers will be calculated on the basis of an estimated salary of Rs 1200 per month. However, the bonus for the employees whose salary is less than Rs 1200 will be decided on the actual salary. This will directly benefit the soldiers.
