Jharkhand New DGP : Who will be the next DGP of Jharkhand? Names of four IPS officers sent to UPSC; Read the full list here

Jharkhand Police News Jharkhand government has sent the names of four senior officers of Indian Police Service to the Union Public Service Commission for the post of Director General of Police. These include Anil Palta, Anurag Gupta, Prashant Singh and RK Mallick. Anurag Gupta is currently holding the charge of Additional DGP. He has played a role in cracking down on Naxalites in Jharkhand.

Jharkhand News: The Hemant Soren government has sent the names of four senior officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS) to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the post of Director General of Police.

According to sources, these include 1990 batch IPS officers Anil Palta and Anurag Gupta and 1992 batch Prashant Singh and RK Mallick.

However, 1992 batch officer RK Mallick is going to retire in January 2025. 1989 batch IPS officer Ajay Kumar Singh was removed from the post of DGP by the state government on 26 July. Since then this post is running in charge. Ajay Kumar Singh is also going to retire in January next year.

At present Anurag Gupta is holding additional charge of DGP

Let us tell you that at present Anurag Gupta is holding the charge of additional DGP of Jharkhand. According to sources, Anurag Gupta’s name has also been sent for full time DGP. Anurag Gupta is considered a very strict IPS officer. He has played an important role in curbing Naxalites in Jharkhand.

A few days ago, in a review meeting, DGP Anurag Gupta had assigned a special task to the SPs of six districts, Bokaro, Chaibasa, Chatra, Giridih, Latehar and Palamu.
