According to the order of the Railway Board, 4 seats, 2 below, 2 in the middle, 2 in Third AC, 2 in Economy have been reserved for the differently-abled in the sleeper class. Railway will give seat to senior citizen without asking
Let me tell you, apart from these, Indian Railways senior citizens i.e. elders will get lower berths without asking. 6 to 7 lower berths in sleeper class, 4-5 lower berths in every third AC coach, 3-4 lower berths in every second AC coach, train will also provide facilities for people aged 45 years or more and pregnant women . They get the seat without choosing any option.
TT can change seat onboard
On the other hand, if ticket booking is given to a senior citizen, disabled or pregnant woman on the upper seat, then there is a provision for TT to give them the lower seat during onboard ticket checking.
