In a private school in Jharkhand, the principal made more than 80 10th class girls remove their shirts. The girls were celebrating Pen Day and were writing good wishes on each other’s shirts. The principal did not like it. He made the girls remove their shirts as a punishment. The girls were sent home wearing only blazers. Now an inquiry has been ordered in this case.
The incident that took place in a school in Dhanbad, Jharkhand has shocked everyone. It is alleged that the school management removed the shirts of the girl students and sent them home in blazers without shirts. Now the Jharkhand Legal Services Authority has taken suo motu cognizance of the matter. They have ordered an inquiry. Meanwhile, the principal’s room has been sealed.
Demand for action against school and principal
Dhanbad MP Dhullu Mahato has written a letter to the Union Human Resource Development Minister demanding action against the school and the principal. Jharia BJP MLA Ragini Singh has also demanded action. She has asked CM Hemant Soren to intervene in the matter. The CWC team led by Uttam Mukherjee will investigate the matter and has also sought a detailed report from the DSE.
Girls were giving autographs on shirts
Actually, this incident happened on 9th January. In a reputed school of Dhanbad, 10th class girls were celebrating Pen Day on the day of the last paper of Pre Board. Girls were wishing their friends and giving autographs on shirts so that they can save good memories. The principal of the school did not like this celebration of the girls and she got angry with it.

After this, about 80 girl students were forcibly made to remove their shirts. The girls were sent home in blazers without shirts. The girls kept crying, but it had no effect on the school management. Despite repeated requests, the management did not listen. This incident was captured on CCTV and the video went viral on social media. The parents of the girls got angry about this incident that happened in the school. The angry parents met Dhanbad DC Madhavi Mishra.
The parents said that the girls are under mental stress due to this act of the school management. Their board exam preparation may be affected. The parents are trying their best to convince the girls, but they questioned that if any of these girls had put her life in danger, then who would have been responsible for this? People are also raising questions on the school management and the principal on social media.
Apart from this, Jharkhand Parents Association wrote a letter to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) after this incident and demanded action against the school. It said that Jharkhand Parents Association has strongly condemned the incident that happened with the girl students in Dhanbad school. This incident is unfortunate and the school management should be held responsible for this.
