7th Pay Commission: If you are an employee then this news is for you. Actually, let us tell you that the central government has implemented strict rules for central employees. It has also been said that strict action can be taken against those employees who do not follow this process.
7th Pay Commission! The central government has started taking strict action against central government employees who come to office late and leave early. Officers and employees have been warned that habitually coming late and leaving early will be taken seriously. The Center has clarified that all employees should come to office on time and leave at the scheduled time, fulfilling their responsibilities.
The Center has taken this step when it has been found that many employees are not making attendance in the Aadhaar enabled biometric attendance system and some employees are regularly coming late.
The Personnel Ministry has advocated the use of mobile phone based face authentication system in an order. Under this, apart from other facilities, live location detection and geo-tagging have been talked about.
According to the order of the ministry, all central government employees must compulsorily register their attendance through AEBAS. Strict action can be taken against employees who do not follow this process. The ministry has instructed all departments to be strict in this direction and make employees aware of the rules.
The government will crack down on employees-
The order directs that all personnel will have to regularly download the consolidated report from the portal and identify the defaulters. The Personnel Ministry has clarified that as per the rules, half a day’s casual leave (CL) will be deducted for each day of delay. However, this rule will not apply for delays up to one hour, and it can be waived by the competent authority for justified reasons up to twice a month.
Apart from cutting casual leave, disciplinary action can also be initiated against government employees who habitually come late to the office as it amounts to misconduct under the conduct rules.
Action will be taken against those who come late-
According to the order, leaving early will also be treated as coming late. It is important that the punctuality and attendance of employees is affected, especially when it comes to important assignments, deputation, training, and transfer or posting. All government departments and ministries have been directed to ensure that biometric machines are always functional, so that punctuality can be monitored effectively. This initiative will be helpful in promoting discipline and tolerance of employees.
