Khunti Crime News: Khunti Superintendent of Police (SP) Aman Kumar said the incident took place late Friday night when five girls were returning home after attending a wedding ceremony in Raniya area.
Jharkhand Crime News: Jharkhand Police has detained 18 minors for raping three girls in Khunti district. Police gave this information on Monday (24 February). He said that the accused aged 12-17 years have been sent to Juvenile Home and the victim girls will be medically examined on Monday.
Khunti Superintendent of Police (SP) Aman Kumar said that the incident took place late Friday night, when five girls were returning home after attending a marriage ceremony in Rania area. According to the police complaint lodged by the family members, three of the five girls were teenagers (aged 12 to 16 years) raped by boys.
All 18 accused arrested in gangrape case- SP
The SP said, “This incident came to light after a complaint was lodged at Rania police station on Sunday. The police immediately formed a team, which arrested all 18 accused.” Kumar said, “The accused were sent to the juvenile home on Monday. The girls will be medically examined as soon as possible.”
Girl raped and murdered in Jamtara
Earlier on February 16, a case of rape and murder of an innocent girl came to light in Jamtara district of Jharkhand. This incident took place in Nala police station area of Jamtara. The body of a 10-year-old girl studying in class 3 was recovered from Bhadarbudi forest. The family had alleged that a boy from the same village had raped and murdered her.
An FIR was lodged in the police station in this case. The girl was missing since February 15, after which the family had lodged a missing report of the girl in the police station. Later when someone saw the dead body of the girl in the forest, the police was informed. After this, the police reached the spot and recovered the body.
