IMD Alert: Heavy rain in 15 states including UP-Bihar, strong wind-hail alert, read Meteorological Department’s forecast

Today on April 24, there is a possibility of hailstorm at many places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Telangana, Odisha, Bihar and Chhattisgarh in South India and at some places in Vidarbha till April 25. The same during April 26 to 27 in Marathwada- There is a possibility of hailstorm at different places.

IMD Alert Today: Due to the effect of Western Disturbance, there is no possibility of heat wave across the country for at least the next 4 to 5 days, although there will be chances of strong wind, thunderstorm and rain with cloudy weather in 15 states till the end of April.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there are chances of rain in Sikkim, West Bengal, Odisha, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra for the next 2 days. There is a possibility of rain in some states including Delhi-NCR-Bihar-UP-Chhattisgarh for two more days. There is a possibility of heavy rains at different places in Kerala and Mahe on April 24.

According to IMD, today the minimum temperature in New Delhi can be recorded at 21 degrees and the maximum temperature can be recorded at 32 degrees. Some areas may see rain with thunder. The temperature in Delhi is likely to reach 24°C on Monday, 26°C on Tuesday, 28°C on Wednesday, 29°C on Thursday, 29°C on Friday, 28°C on Friday. It will be 25 degree Celsius on Saturday and Sunday.

In Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow today, the minimum temperature can be recorded at 21 and the maximum temperature can be recorded at 37. The sky is expected to remain clear. In Ghaziabad, the minimum temperature can be recorded 23 and the maximum temperature can be recorded 38 degrees. Dust storm may occur and light rain with thunder can be seen.

Rain alert in 13 states

According to Skymet agency, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, parts of Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rains are likely over Northeast India and parts of Telangana. Light rain and thundershowers may occur over Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, parts of Haryana, Northeast Rajasthan and parts of Delhi. There are indications of scattered rains over Northeast India, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Telangana from today for the next 4 days.

Hail expected in 8 states

The IMD has predicted hailstorm at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim till April 25. Today on April 24, there is a possibility of hailstorm at many places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Telangana, Odisha, Bihar and Chhattisgarh in South India and at some places in Vidarbha till April 25. The same during April 26 to 27 in Marathwada- There is a possibility of hailstorm at different places.

Rainfall is very likely over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe during next 4 days. Light rain with thunder and lightning very likely over Madhya Maharashtra & Marathwada during next 5 days and over Gujarat on 26 & 27 April.

What does the Meteorological Department’s forecast say?

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation has continued in the country, one over northwest, Madhya Pradesh and the other over interior Tamil Nadu. An axis of relatively low pressure is running from northwest Madhya Pradesh across Telangana to south Tamil Nadu. According to Skymet Weather, another axial line is extending from Northeast Bihar to Odisha via Jharkhand. The axial line usually forms clouds and causes rain, which causes a drop in temperature. This is the reason why there is a sudden change in the weather.
