Ranchi Band: Tension in Jharkhand after burning religious flag, call for ‘Ranchi bandh’ today, deployment of police everywhere

Ranchi: President of Jharkhand Pahan Sangh Jagdish Pahan said that insulting the Sarna flag is condemnable and it will not be tolerated at any cost. Along with this, he demanded the arrest of anti-social elements.

Jharkhand News: Tribal organizations of Jharkhand have called for a one-day bandh in Ranchi on Saturday, April 8, to protest against the burning of a religious flag by miscreants. Jharkhand Pahan Mahasangh, Kendriya Sarna Samiti, Raji Sarna Prarthana Mahasabha and other tribal organizations have protested.

This organization took out a torchlight procession from Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium to Albert Ekka Chowk on Friday in protest against the burning of the Sarna flag. Also demanded the arrest of the guilty anti-social elements.

President of Jharkhand Pahan Sangh Jagdish Pahan said that insulting the Sarna flag is condemnable and it will not be tolerated at any cost. On the other hand, Jagdish Pahan demanded that anti-social elements should be arrested as soon as possible.

He said that on this demand, a torchlight procession was taken out from Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium to Albert Ekka Chowk in Ranchi on Friday and a protest was registered.

Exemption for emergency facilities

Phoolchand Tirkey, chairman of the Central Sarna Committee, said that tribals have become aware of their tradition and culture. At the same time, they are ready to fight the battle to protect their honor. He said that the Ranchi bandh on April 8 will be historic, but during this time ambulances, school buses and dairy and drug stores have been exempted.

In view of the bandh called by the tribal organizations, many educational institutions of Ranchi announced to keep the institutions closed on Saturday. On the other hand, a few days ago,

there was a ruckus between the two parties over DJ playing during the Durga idol immersion procession on April 1 in Kulipada,  Sahibganj. The uproar increased so much that incidents like vandalism, arson, stone pelting also took place in the city.
