6 laborers of Jharkhand are stranded in Oman. Due to the arbitrariness of the company, all the laborers have become dependent on food and drink. Expressing their anguish through social media, these laborers trapped in Muscat, the capital of Oman, have appealed to the central and state governments to return home.
All these laborers are residents of Giridih, Hazaribagh and Bokaro districts. All these laborers went to Muscat, the capital of Oman, to work in a mobile tower erecting company on 22 December 2022, where these people have not been paid salaries for the last 5 months and all the laborers have become dependent on food and drink.
Hearing the condition of the laborers, their relatives are very upset here. If the laborers are to be believed, apart from not paying the salary, the company has forced everyone to work as hostages. The company has also confiscated the passports of all the workers so that no one can run away. This is not the first incident that a large number of laborers from this area go abroad in search of work, but there they have to face torture.
They are able to return to their homeland with great difficulty. Many such cases have come to the fore in the past as well. In such a situation, the government needs to take concrete steps on this.
Among the trapped laborers are Sanjay Mahto of Nerki, Mahadev Mahto of Upper Ghana, Dinesh Mahto and Arjun Mahto of Ambadih under Vishnugarh police station area of Hazaribagh district. Kishor Mahto of Mahuri under Bagodar police station area of Giridih district and Yugal Mahto of Pokharia under Pank Narayan police station area of Bokaro districts are included.
