SBI Account Holders Alert : SBI issued important guidelines for its bank customers

Online Banking Fraud: The cases of online fraud are increasing rapidly. Recently, a Nagpur resident lost Rs 9.66 lakh in a fake call. 56-year-old Satish Dixit received a call from an unknown number, in which the online fraudster described himself as a bank employee. In such a situation, the innocent user gets swayed by the scammers and then loses lakhs of rupees.

According to official information, the victim received a call from a person who introduced himself as an employee of a private bank. Scammers said that he works to protect the bank account. During this conversation, the scammers took the details of the credit card and debit card of the victim’s bank. After talking for some time, Rs 9.66 lakh was withdrawn from his account.

Increasing cases of online fraud

Many cases are coming out from different parts of India regarding Online Fraud, in which scammers are following different methods to cheat innocent users. Somewhere the greed of part time job is given on WhatsApp. Sometimes greed of likes etc. is given on Youtube.

Cheating with the help of AI

Online fraud in India Some such cases have also come to the fore, where scammers used AI to copy a voice similar to that of an acquaintance of the Victim.

After this, they start calling and asking for help from the Victim. A similar case also came to light in Kerala, however, the victim quickly recognized the scam and disconnected the call.

SBI told tips to avoid online fraud

  • State Bank of India (SBI) has given some tips to stay safe from online banking fraud, after following which users can protect their earnings. Let’s know.
  • You can ask to click on the link using the name of SBI in email etc., it should be avoided.
  • Do not click on embed link on any text or photo. It can steal banking details.
  • Access Online Banking from the Official Banking Website. Do not access online banking through messages or any other website.
  • Always check the domain name and URL. You can also check the spelling of the domain etc.
  • Do not share information in text messages, including name, bank account details or OTP etc.
  • Keep updating anti virus software with computer protection.
  • Keep checking bank account and credit card statements regularly.
  • Told on the official website of SBI that use only supported browser of SBI, whose list is on the website.
