Wheat MSP Hiked: Good news for farmers before Diwali! Center increased the MSP of Rabi crops, prices increased so much

Government MSP Price: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs under the chairmanship of PM Modi took this decision. In the current season, MSP is Rs 2,125 per quintal. Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said that the panel has approved the increase in MSP of all essential Rabi crops for the 2024-25 season.

Government MSP Price : Relief news came for the farmers on Wednesday. The Central Government announced an increase of Rs 150 in the minimum support price of wheat. According to PTI report, this is the highest increase in MSP prices since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of the country in 2014. For the 2024-25 marketing season, the MSP per quintal will be ₹2,275.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs under the chairmanship of PM Modi took this decision. In the current season, MSP is Rs 2,125 per quintal. Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said that the panel has approved the increase in MSP of all essential Rabi crops for the 2024-25 season.

He said, ‘Based on the recommendation of CACP, we have increased the MSP of six Rabi crops. The MSP of wheat has been increased by Rs 150 per quintal.

Keep an eye on the new rates

Wheat is the main Rabi crop, which is harvested in April. The panel has approved the highest increase of ₹425 per quintal in MSP for masoor dal. MSP of rapeseed and mustard will be increased by ₹ 200 per quintal.

Safflower MSP has been increased by ₹ 150. The MSP for barley and gram has been increased by ₹ 115 and ₹ 105. Minimum support price is the minimum rate at which the government buys crops from farmers.

Apart from this, the Center also announced increase in dearness allowance of central employees. DA has been increased by four percent to 46 percent. These announcements came before the assembly elections in five states – Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram.
