Jharkhand, a decision can be taken to make rules by removing the compulsion of police station area for buying and selling of tribal land. During the Bihar era, there was a discussion in the TAC meeting on the implementation of the Act implemented in 1950 after the amendment in CNT.
CM Hemant Soren has also said that at the time of enactment of CNT-SPT Act, there has been a huge change in the police station area and at present. Keeping this in mind, discussion took place in the TAC meeting.
TAC members will give their suggestions on the draft of the PESA law, while the sub-committee headed by Stephen Marandi has been given an extension of one year. Regarding the decision of Odisha government, CM Hemant Soren has said that even after studying the circumstances under which this decision has been taken, he will be able to tell in what context this decision will be taken. BJP members did not attend the TAC meeting in Jharkhand Ministry.
In the TAC meeting, Van Patta, Abu Dishom and Gram Gaadi Yojana, Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar program were discussed. The law for Panchayats should be under PESA. PESA 1996 should be kept in force, a proposal should be made on this. The argument was given that Mesa should not be discussed in the state. Only Parliament can take any decision on this, hence this topic could not be discussed.
In the meeting, after due consideration, the TAC unanimously decided not to allow the LUGU PAHAR HYDEL PUMPED STORAGE PROJECT proposed by Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) Limited to be established under any circumstances at Lugu Pahad, the religious heritage of tribal Santalis in Bokaro district.
In this regard, Chief Minister-cum-Chairman Tribal Consultative Council Hemant Soren said that the state government will work to preserve Lugu mountain, the religious heritage of faith and belief of the tribal community, at any cost. Our government will not allow the sentiments of any community to be tampered with.
