Jharkhand Weather Update: Now severe cold has started in Jharkhand. Snowfall has also been seen at some places in the western states, due to which cold wind is blowing. During this period, minimum temperature of 6 degrees was recorded in Kanke, Ranchi.
Extreme cold is being seen in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. People are getting locked in their homes only after evening. We are taking care that no window or door is left open even by mistake, because it is colder than Kashmir here. In fact, in the last 24 hours the minimum temperature here was recorded at 6 degrees, which is the lowest temperature till date.
Meteorologist Abhishek Anand of Ranchi Meteorological Center said that severe cold has now started in Jharkhand. Snowfall has also been seen at some places in the western states, due to which the easterly wind is increasing the severity. Minimum temperature of 6 degrees has been recorded in Kanke of Ranchi. At the same time, the minimum temperature in Chatra and Khunti has also gone down to 7 degrees. People need to be very cautious in cold.

According to the weather centre, Ranchi’s Kanke has recorded the coldest in the last 24 hours. The minimum temperature here went down to 6 degrees. Whereas, if we talk about other districts, Chatra’s 7.5, Khunti 8, Gumla 7.5, Palamu 10, West Singhbhum 8.5, Simdega’s 9.4, Ramgarh 8.01, Latehar and Lohardaga 8.7, Bokaro 11.5, Deoghar 11.3, Hazaribagh 10.3, Giridih 11.8 and Godda. A minimum temperature of 11.2 degrees was recorded.
Similarly, in view of the cold in Ranchi, bonfires have been arranged at various places at Chowk intersections. At the same time, instructions have been given by the corporation to operate many bus shelters of the city smoothly. An appeal has been made by the corporation to the people that if there is a need for bonfire anywhere then they should immediately inform the corporation. As soon as the information is received, the corporation team will make arrangements for bonfire at that place.
