The business of fake notes is very widespread in the country and the figures of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) are proving this.

Most of these are notes of Rs 100. A total of Rs 100 notes worth Rs 11073600 have been seized. Rs 100 notes are part of our daily transactions. If you want to identify real and fake Rs 100 notes, then we are telling you an easy way to do it.

After demonetization, Reserve Bank had introduced new notes of Rs 2000 and Rs 500 in the market. After this, notes of 100, 200, 50, 20 and 10 rupees also came into the market. The first way to identify the genuine new Rs 100 note is that the original note has 100 written in Devanagari on both the front sides. There is a photo of Mahatma Gandhi in the middle of the note. Also, on the original note of Rs 100, RBI, Bharat, INDIA and 100 are written in small letters.

When you fold the new Rs 100 note, the color of the wire on it will change. It will turn greenish blue. Apart from this, there is also a watermark of Rs 100 on the note. The year of printing, Swachh Bharat logo and slogan, language panel, picture of ‘Rani Ki Vav’ and denomination number 100 are written in Devanagari on the reverse side of the note.

On the old Rs 100 note, there is a triangle shape on the front, by touching which you can easily identify the Rs 100 note. Apart from this, there is a flower on the back side of this note, which when seen from a distance, the entire 100 is visible.

Apart from this, for the identification of Rs 100, the symbol of Ashoka Pillar on the right side and the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi will be seen in the electrotype (100) watermark.
