7th Pay Commission: Double Bonanza for government employees, this good news with DA hike; gift to women

7th Pay Commission Latest News: The announcement of DA hike will benefit 2.15 lakh employees and 1.90 lakh pensioners. The DA has been increased by 3 percent for the employees and pensioners from the government side.

DA Hike in Himachal Pradesh: Once again great news is coming for the government employees. Himachal Pradesh government has given double good news to the existing employees. The state government has announced to increase the dearness allowance (DA Hike) along with restoring the old pension for government employees. The announcement of DA hike by the government will benefit 2.15 lakh employees and 1.90 lakh pensioners. The DA has been increased by 3 percent for the employees and pensioners from the Himachal government. Now 34 percent DA will be available as against the earlier 31 percent.

The burden of 500 crores will be on the exchequer

According to the information given by the government, 3% DA hike will put an additional burden of about 500 crores on the exchequer of Himachal Pradesh government. Apart from this, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu also announced a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500 to 9,000 women of Spiti who are above 18 years of age from June 2023. Let us tell you that DA and DR are increased twice a year by the government. Dearness Allowance (DA) is given to government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners.

1.36 lakh employees will be benefited,

on the other hand, the Himachal government has issued a notification to restore the old pension scheme from April 1, 2023. This will benefit 1.36 lakh employees of the state government. These employees will not face deduction under the National Pension Scheme (NPS). The Chief Secretary of the state has issued a notification to implement OPS. Let us tell you that during the assembly elections 2022, the Congress had promised to restore the old pension (OPS).
