PM-MKSSY : This scheme of Modi government will provide 1 lakh 70 thousand new jobs and 75,000 employment… you can also avail its benefit.

PM-MKSSY: There is a scheme of Rs 6000 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. Through this scheme, along with farmers, fishermen and fish farming laborers will also get cheap loans. Under this scheme, there is a plan to provide jobs to 1 lakh 70 thousand people and employment to 75 thousand people.

Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana: Modi Cabinet has approved investment of Rs 6000 crore for employment and jobs in the field of fish farming. The central government will invest thousands of crores of rupees in the fisheries sector in the next four years. Farmers and women are going to especially benefit from this.

After the approval of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sa-Yojana (PM-MKSSY), fish farming farmers will also get many opportunities to start employment with insurance. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) of the Central Government has made this big announcement in view of the new possibilities in the fisheries sector.

Let us tell you that there is a scheme of Rs 6000 crore under the Prime Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana. Through this scheme, along with farmers, fishermen and fish farming laborers will also get cheap loans. The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved investment of more than Rs 6,000 crore in all states and union territories over the next four years from financial year 2023-24 to 2026-27.

Employment in fisheries sector

The government will release 50 percent i.e. Rs 3,000 crore in this scheme. Whereas, the remaining 50 percent i.e. Rs 3,000 crore will come in the form of investments related to beneficiaries or private sector. It will be implemented in all states and union territories for 4 years from FY 2023-24 to FY 2026-27.

The benefit of this scheme can be availed by fishermen, aquatic fish farmers, fish workers, fish sellers or other persons directly associated with the fisheries value chain. Along with this, the Central Government also provides assistance to the Government in the form of proprietary firms, partnership firms and village level organizations like companies registered in India,

societies, Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), cooperative societies, unions, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Fish Farmer Producer Organizations (FFPOs). Micro and small enterprises and startups engaged in fisheries and aquaculture value chain can also take advantage of this scheme.

The Central Government will provide a ‘one-time incentive’ at the rate of 40 percent of the cost of premium, subject to a limit of Rs 25,000 per hectare of water spread area of the aquaculture farm. The maximum incentive amount payable to a single farmer will be Rs 1,00,000 and the maximum farm size eligible for incentive is 4 hectares of water spread area.
