Lok Sabha elections: Agenda set in Jharkhand after PM Modi’s visit, Lok Sabha elections will be fought on corruption vs development ha-chunav-jmm-congress-bjp-ntc-1891455-2024-03-03

While addressing a public rally after the inauguration of Hindustan Fertilizer and Chemicals Limited Sindri, PM Modi called JMM a ‘eat party’. After this, the local BJP unit named JMM as ‘Jharkhand Mudra Mochan Party’.

Political activities were at their peak in Jharkhand last week. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Dhanbad, the election agenda for the 14 seats here also seemed to be clearly decided.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated projects worth more than Rs 35,700 crore to the state, and the Fertilizer Corporation of India Sindri factory in Dhanbad, which was closed since 2000, was again renamed as HURL (HINDUSTAN URVARAK & RASAYAN LIMITED SINDRI). Started from.

While addressing a public rally after the inauguration of Hindustan Fertilizer and Chemicals Limited Sindri, PM Modi called JMM a ‘eat party’. After this, the local BJP unit named JMM as ‘Jharkhand Mudra Mochan Party’.

PM Modi said that the present coalition government of Congress and JMM has only promoted corruption. Both of these are family based parties. He said that appeasement politics is at its peak in the JMM-Congress government, due to which there has been massive infiltration in Santhal Pargana through Bangladesh border.

Jharkhand BJP alleges that due to infiltrators the demography of the state is changing and crime has increased. BJP is also calling the jailing of former CM Hemant Soren in a money laundering case related to the land scam as an example of corruption.

That means BJP’s agenda is clear that this time the elections on 14 seats will be fought on the issue of corruption versus development. The Prime Minister has shown the developmental thinking of the Central Government by opening the closed urea and fertilizer factories.

The 7 lakh population of Sindri Township is largely dependent on the FCI factory for employment. But despite the UPA government being in power at the Center from 2004 to 2014, no effort was made to open this factory.

Here, JMM-Congress, shocked by Prime Minister Modi’s attack, created a lot of ruckus in the House on the last day of the budget session. Congress leader in the House Pradeep Yadav wanted to discuss under the rules of conduct of business how ED and CBI were used against the state government here.

Chief Minister Champai Soren said that the government had to prove majority thrice in the last 5 years, which does not usually happen. JMM general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya called BJP a party of ‘abundant geo-capitalists’. In response to the Prime Minister’s guarantee of development, JMM said,

‘If the PM does not guarantee his married life, then how will he guarantee the prosperity of the people? As far as corruption is concerned, how are the leaders accused of corruption like Hemant Biswa Sarma, Ajit Pawar, Narayan Rane, Praful Patel, BS Yediyurappa and Suvendu Adhikari dressing up like gems by wearing the cap of BJP?

JMM asked, ‘If the PM talked about guarantee to the tribals, then why did he not fulfill the guarantee of saving the honor of daughters in Manipur and Kathua? Are they not a part of this country? Obviously, BJP had lost 26 out of 28 tribal seats in Jharkhand in the last assembly elections.

Now JMM wants to retain its hold on those seats. So that its effect is visible in the Lok Sabha elections. BJP is currently visible after announcing the candidates. Last time it had won 11 seats and ally AJSU had won 1 seat. However, now there is no Congress MP from Jharkhand in the Lok Sabha. The only MP Geeta Koda has joined BJP. Geeta Koda had won from Chaibasa seat in 2019 on Congress ticket, but now BJP has fielded her from here.
