Aadhaar Update Deadline: The free service of updating information in Aadhaar card was extended till September 14, 2023. This means that you can update your name, address, date of birth and other demographic details on your Aadhaar card without paying any fee. However, less than 20 days are left to do the free Aadhaar update.
Indian residents can avail the service free of cost at https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/portal. In fact, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has advised that all Aadhaar number holders should update their documents in Aadhaar at least once every ten years from the date of enrollment to ensure the accuracy of their data.
For this reason, UIDAI has also started the facility of free updation of Aadhaar card documents for the netizens. Netizens can update their Aadhaar documents without any charges till September 14, while the previous deadline was June 14. The free facility is exclusively available on the myAadhaar portal. However, if you make some changes by visiting Aadhaar centers, a fee of Rs 50 will be charged.

Residents can access the free service by logging in to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/portal using their Aadhaar number. A One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number.
Also, users can go to ‘Document Update’, verify their details and upload documents to re-verify their details.
