In the last financial year, two lakh families have been allotted Abua housing. According to the information, during the investigation conducted on the instructions of the CM, it has been found that the progress of most of the housing is better.
Champai government is going to start the allocation of Abua housing very soon. Abua housing will be allotted to 4.5 lakh families in the current financial year. Chief Minister Champai Soren has given clear instructions to the officials to start the allocation of Abua housing for the current financial year with complete transparency under the previously approved applications. He has also instructed to link the toilet construction scheme of Swachh Bharat Mission with the three-room Abua housing scheme of the state government. The process of construction of toilets under this scheme will start soon in those Abua housing which have been approved.
Target to provide housing to 4.5 lakh people every year
Abua Housing Scheme is an ambitious scheme of the state government. After about eight lakh Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana were not approved by the central government, the state government has started Abua Housing Scheme with its own resources. But when applications were sought for Abua housing under the program Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar, the number reached more than 22 lakh. After verification, 20 lakh applications have been approved. A target has been set to provide housing to all these 20 lakh families by the financial year 2027-28. About 4.5 lakh houses will be given every year.

It is known that under this scheme, there is a provision to provide financial assistance of two lakh rupees in five installments to the beneficiaries. A budget of Rs 4,831.83 crore has been proposed for Abua housing in the current financial year. The priority list for Abua housing has been decided.
Those whose applications have been approved will get such Abua housing
Under the Abua housing scheme, a three-room concrete house and kitchen will be built, whose area will be 31 square meters. Under the scheme, provision has been made for a clean kitchen along with three rooms. Assistance of two lakh rupees will be given in five installments. Chief Minister Champai Soren has also given instructions to build toilets by linking Swachh Bharat Mission with Abua housing scheme. Toilets will also be constructed along with the approved Abua housing. At this time, allotment will be made only to those whose applications have been approved. At present, new applications are not being sought under the scheme.
Chief Minister’s instructions
1. Speed up the construction of 2 lakh houses approved in the first phase under the Abua housing scheme
2. If the work of the allotted house is satisfactory, then release the amount of the second installment to them
3. The beneficiaries of this scheme are poor and needy, so provide construction material like sand to build houses at the minimum rate.
4. Maintain complete transparency in the selection process of beneficiaries
5. Take action against the officials who commit irregularities and negligence in this scheme
