Affordable Housing Scheme : Affordable plot housing scheme canceled once again in Gurugram-Faridabad, know the reason

Affordable Housing Scheme: The Haryana government has once again stopped the Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana for the middle class and lower middle class, know the reason for this.

Affordable Housing Scheme: The Haryana government has once again banned the Affordable Plot Housing Scheme in Gurugram and Faridabad. The reason for the ban on this scheme by the government is the rising land prices in Faridabad and Gurugram. From the beginning of this scheme till now this scheme has not been implemented in these two cities of Haryana.

What is the scheme

The Affordable Plot Housing Scheme was handed over to the people of Haryana in 2016 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi . This scheme was started for the lower and middle class families. Under this scheme, lower and middle class families are eligible to buy houses at a lower cost. In this scheme, the government had fixed the provision to buy houses of at least 5 acres and maximum 15 acres of land. But the people of Faridabad and Gurugram are not getting the benefit of this scheme.

Trouble implementing the plan

This scheme was started in Haryana under the Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana. But, due to continuous increase in land prices in Gurugram and Faridabad, the Haryana government has not been able to implement this scheme in these two cities. Earlier in the report that came in February, this scheme was also banned. According to government officials, if this scheme is implemented here, then this scheme will become unaffordable instead of affordable.

official information

According to the information released by the Town and Country Planning Department on April 20, the Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana has been banned under the Final Development Plan 2031 in Gurugram Manesar Urban Complex and Faridabad. Government officials told that the reason for stopping this scheme in these two cities is the rising prices of independent floors, which are increasing due to the increase in land prices.
