The Affordable Plot Housing Scheme was handed over to the people of Haryana in 2016 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi . This scheme was started for the lower and middle class families. Under this scheme, lower and middle class families are eligible to buy houses at a lower cost. In this scheme, the government had fixed the provision to buy houses of at least 5 acres and maximum 15 acres of land. But the people of Faridabad and Gurugram are not getting the benefit of this scheme.
Trouble implementing the plan
This scheme was started in Haryana under the Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana. But, due to continuous increase in land prices in Gurugram and Faridabad, the Haryana government has not been able to implement this scheme in these two cities.
