Tata Group’s airline company Air India is going to add 500 new aircraft to its network. For new aircraft, the company has given information about recruitment of more than 1000 posts. This recruitment is being done for the posts of Pilot Trainer.
Tata group owned airline Air India will make new recruitment for more than 1000 posts in the coming time. To expand its network, the company is looking for more than 1000 qualified people in positions like pilots and trainers.
Let us tell you, Air India currently has more than 1,800 pilots. The airline has placed orders for 470 aircraft with Boeing and Airbus. These include wide-body aircraft.
New aircraft are joining the network
The new Airbus firm order puts the number of A320/321neo/XLR aircraft at 210. On the other hand, the number of A350-900/1000 aircraft has been kept at 40.
The Boeing firm’s orders include number 190 of the 737-MAX, number 20 of the 787 and number 10 of the 777.
Company giving information about new recruitment
The company has informed about the new recruitments on Thursday. If media reports are to be believed then the airline is planning to recruit pilots for more than 1000 posts. The company said, “We are offering the recruitment of Pilots, First Officers as well as Trainers. The new recruitments are being done for A320, B777, B787 and B737. Going to include more than 100 aircraft.
It may be noted that recently Air India pilots have raised concerns over the airline’s latest decision regarding changes in their pay structure and service conditions. On April 17, Air India introduced a revised compensation structure for its pilots and cabin crew, which has been rejected by two pilot unions – the Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) and the Indian Pilots Guild (IPG).
Tata Group is merging the airline
Explain that four airlines Air India, Air India Express, AIX Connect and Vistara work under Tata Group. Tata Group is in the process of merging Air India Express, AIX Connect. Apart from this, Vistara and Air India are also being merged.
