Annapurna Devi of Jharkhand has got a place in the cabinet of the new central government. Annapurna Devi is a BJP MP from Koderma parliamentary constituency. She was also a state minister in the previous government. Annapurna Devi has been winning the Lok Sabha elections since last time. Last time too, she had won from Koderma as a BJP candidate.

Annapurna Devi, who has made a place in the Modi 3.0 cabinet from 

Jharkhand, has become an MP for the second time. Earlier, she contested the 2019 elections from Koderma as a BJP candidate. That time, on her spectacular victory, the BJP made her the Minister of State for Education. This time too, expressing confidence in her, she has been sworn in as a minister for the second time. 

Annapurna Devi’s full name is Annapurna Devi Yadav. She has last served as Minister of State for Education in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ministry. She is a Lok Sabha member from Koderma, Jharkhand. She won the 2019 general election as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. She is one of the national vice-presidents of the BJP. Earlier she was in the Rashtriya Janata Dal. 

Annapurna Devi entered politics after her husband’s death

. Before joining BJP, Annapurna Devi was in RJD. She was elected to Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from Koderma Assembly Constituency on RJD ticket. After her husband’s sudden death in 1998, Annapurna Devi was fielded as RJD candidate and she won. In this way, Annapurna Devi became MLA for the first time. She also became the Mines Minister in the state. 

Annapurna Devi , who became MLA on RJD ticket,

was born on 2 February 1970 in Ajmeri, Jharkhand (Bihar at that time). Annapurna Devi did her early education there. After this, she did post graduation from Ranchi University. Then she got married to Ramesh Prasad Yadav, who was MLA from Koderma. After her husband’s death, she also entered politics. She became RJD MLA for the first time in 1998. She also became the state mining minister.

She was also a minister in the Hemant government and

won the assembly elections in 2000, 2005 and 2010. In 2014, Annapurna also got the post of RJD’s Jharkhand state president. She became the Minister of Water Resources and Child Women Development in Hemant Soren’s government.
