Bank Holidays In January 2024: The month of January will start after a few days. Banks in India will remain closed for 16 days next month. People who have important banking related work should keep in mind the dates of holidays. However, these holidays will be limited to branches only. Rest, you will also be able to do a lot of your work through digital services like mobile banking, UPI and internet banking.

Major bank holidays in India include Republic Day (26 January), Independence Day (15 August), Gandhi Jayanti (2 October) and Christmas (25 December).

Additionally, banks remain closed on specific religious festivals, such as Diwali, Dussehra, Eid, Ganesh Chaturthi, Buddha Purnima and others. But the dates of these festivals keep changing every year.
