The Jharkhand government has started a great scheme for construction workers, named “Jharkhand Nirman Karmakar Mrityu/Accident Assistance Scheme”. To make the workers aware about this scheme, the government is organizing street plays. In every square, market and town, it is being told through street plays that if a worker dies in an accident, then his family will be given a help of Rs 5 lakh.
Similarly, if a worker becomes completely disabled in an accident, then he will get Rs 3 lakh. In case of partial disability, Rs 2 lakh and in case of normal death, the family will be given Rs 1 lakh.

After watching the street play, Upendra Ram from Godda told Local18 that earlier he did not know anything about this scheme, but now he will immediately go to the labor office and apply. He described this initiative of the government as very good and said that now the families of the workers will not have to worry after any untoward incident.
