Bihar Ration Card Update 2025: There is a big relief news for the ration card holders of Bihar. The Food and Consumer Protection Department of the Government of Bihar has extended the last date for mandatory Aadhar seeding in ration card till 30 June 2025. Earlier this deadline was fixed till 31 March 2025. Now people will get more time to update the necessary documents.

This decision has been taken under the National Food Security Act, 2013, under which it is mandatory to link the identity of each member with the Aadhaar number. The aim of the Government of India is to make the public distribution system transparent and corruption-free, so that ration can be made available to the real needy by removing fake beneficiaries.
The date has been extended by the Government of India
The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India had made Aadhaar seeding mandatory for every family member mentioned in the ration card of the Public Distribution System till 31 March 2025. Now the Government of India has extended the time for mandatory seeding of Aadhaar for every family member mentioned in the ration card till 30 June 2025.
Ration card holders can get eKYC done for free through EPOS
Information has been issued to ration card holders by the Food and Consumer Protection Department. In which they have been requested to get Aadhaar seeding of every member of the family done by June 30. People can get Aadhaar seeding i.e. eKYC done for free through EPOS of the Public Distribution System vendor shop.
Action if Aadhaar seeding is not done by June 30
If the Aadhaar of the members mentioned in a ration card is not done by the new deadline i.e. June 30, then the action to remove the names of such people from the ration card will be started with effect from July 1, 2025 and in such a situation, he will be deprived of the benefits of ration.
