Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat: The Vande Bharat train is one of the most ambitious schemes of the Modi government at the Centre. Indian Railways is constantly trying to increase the expansion of this train. Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) has flagged off Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat (PM Modi Flag Off Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat).

Through this train, the travel time between Chennai and Coimbatore, two cities of Tamil Nadu, will be reduced by one hour. Earlier, PM Modi has also flagged off the 12th Vande Bharat train between Secunderabad-Tirupati (Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Train). Apart from this, PM Modi also unveiled the Chennai International Airport.

PM Modi flagged off Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat

At Chennai Central Railway Station, PM Modi flagged off the country’s 13th Vande Bharat train in the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. Through this train, the 495.28 kilometer journey between Chennai and Coimbatore will be completed in just 5 hours 50 minutes. In this case, there will be a reduction of 1 hour 20 minutes in the travel time between the two cities. This semi high speed train will run at a speed of 130 kilometers per hour.

Know train timing and fare

The Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express will pass through Salem Junction, Erode Junction and Tiruppur in its journey from Chennai to Coimbatore. This train will leave Coimbatore for Chennai at 6 am and reach Chennai at 11.50 am. You will have to pay a fare of Rs 1,365 for going from Chennai to Coimbatore. There is a catering charge of Rs 308 in this. And in the executive class, you will have to pay a fare of Rs 2,485. There is a catering charge of Rs 369 in this. Whereas, between Coimbatore and Chennai, the fare will be Rs 1,215 for chair car and Rs 2,310 for executive class.

Total 13 Vande Bharat Express running in the country

After the introduction of Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat and Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat, now a total of 13 Vande Bharat trains are running in the country. This train is made of 100 percent indigenous technology. The first train was run between Delhi to Varanasi. Since then, the Railways has been continuously running Vande Bharat trains on many routes. It is the target of the Railways that in 75 years of independence, a total of 75 Vande Bharat trains should be run across the country.
