Pensioners Pension, DR Hike: There is good news for retired employees. His dearness relief was increased. An order has also been issued for this.
Under the issued order, orders were issued to pensioners for increase in dearness relief from August 2023 to January 2024. With this, 44.24% of their basic pension will be made available to them as dearness relief.
44. Benefit of 24 percent dearness relief
After increasing the dearness allowance of bank employees, now orders have been issued to increase the dearness relief of pensioners. Under this order, pensioners who have retired on or after November 1, 2017. The ACPI figure for June has been recorded at 8881 for them.
Based on this, they will get the benefit of 44.24 percent dearness relief on basic pension under slab 632 till January 2024. Earlier, the dearness allowance of bank employees was increased by 2.42%, with this their dearness allowance was increased to 44.24%.
Orders issued for increase in dearness relief
The same AICPI figures for June for employees who retired on or after November 1, 2012 were recorded at 8881. Under this, 111 percent of basic pension will be made available to them as dearness relief under 1110 slaps.
Slab 1511 is recorded for bank employees who retired on or after 1st November 2007. Under this, 226.65% of the dearness relief basic pension will be paid to them by January 2024.
Slab 1648 has been recorded for bank employees who retired on or after 1 November 2002. After which, from August 2023 to January 2024, 296.64% of basic pension will be made available to them as dearness relief.
DA hike for surviving pre-1986 retirees
As per the instructions of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (Banking Division), the dearness relief payable to the retirees alive before 1.1.1986, ex-gratia amount of the banks for the period August 2023 to January 2024 will be as follows:

Payment is made as per DFS guidelines to ensure that the surviving pre-1986 retired employees / surviving spouse of pre-1986 retired employees will get a minimum of Rs.10000/- per month as ex-gratia.
