7th Pay Commission: The central government has approved important decisions in the cabinet meeting today. DA hike of about one crore government employees of the country has happened i.e. dearness allowance has been increased. In this way, the Government of India has increased dearness allowance and dearness relief i.e. DA and DR by 3 percent for about 49 lakh employees and 60 lakh pensioners.
The government has at least made arrangements for bumper happiness for the government employees in the festive season. In the Union Cabinet meeting today, a 3 percent increase in the DA of central employees has been approved. Before Diwali, the dearness allowance of the employees has increased from 50 percent to 53 percent and this decision has been approved in today’s cabinet meeting.
Dearness allowance will be available along with arrears
Government employees and pensioners will get a lot of money in the October salary this time because dearness allowance will be considered applicable from July 1, 2024. Due to this, those who are entitled to both Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief will get increased arrears from July to September. This time is a good time for DA hike for government employees because Diwali festival will be celebrated only 15 days from now.
The government took two more decisions today
The Coastal Shipping Bill has also been approved in the cabinet decision. How the coastal areas will be benefited through this bill through Coastal Shipping Bill 2024 will also be announced in the cabinet briefing.
MSP of Rabi crops increased
Increasing the MSP of Rabi crops has also been approved in the cabinet meeting. The MSP of 6 Rabi crops has been increased from 2 percent to 7 percent and the maximum increase has been made on the minimum support price of wheat.
