Delhi metro rules and penalties
If a person is found drinking, spitting, sitting on the metro floor or quarreling during the journey, he will be fined Rs 200 or his pass or ticket will be confiscated and deboarded from the train.
If a person is carrying objectionable material then he will have to pay a fine of Rs 200.
A fine of Rs 500 will be imposed for any kind of drama in the train or writing in the compartment or carriage.
If a person is found traveling on the roof of the metro, he will be fined Rs 50 and will be thrown out of the metro station.
A fine of Rs 150 will be imposed for illegally entering or walking on a metro track.
- If a person enters the ladies coach illegally, he will be charged a fine of Rs 250.
- The person will be fined Rs 500 for obstructing the work of the officers on duty.
- If a person is traveling without a pass or ticket, they will be liable for an additional charge of Rs 50 and the system’s maximum fare.
- If any person interferes with the means of communication in the train or misuses the alarm, he will be fined Rs 500.
- If any person is found damaging Metro property, he will be fined Rs 200.
- Unauthorized selling of goods in Delhi Metro will attract a fine of Rs 400.
- Unauthorized sale of tickets will attract a fine of Rs 200 along with forfeiture of tickets.
