DGCA Advisory: It is not good if there is a disturbance during air travel, the aviation regulator gave this new advisory

Air Travel Regulations: Aviation regulator DGCA has issued new guidelines for such cases after several cases of passengers committing wrongdoings during air travel …

During the air travel, many cases of misbehavior and misbehavior by the passengers have come to the fore during the last few days. In one case, it came to light that a co-passenger was urinating in an inebriated state, while in another the passengers tried to open the emergency gate during the flight.

Aviation regulator DGCA (DGCA) has become strict after many such cases came to the fore. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has now issued a new advisory (DGCA Advisory) on Monday regarding such matters.

This is the latest case of abuse

In the new advisory, DGCA has asked the airlines to adopt a tough approach to deal with unruly passengers. In recent times, incidents of misbehavior of passengers in aircraft have increased. In a recent case, an attempt was made to hurt two crew members on a Delhi-London Air India flight, following which a male passenger was offloaded from the aircraft. In this case, the plane had to land back after takeoff to offload the accused passenger.

DGCA told this thing in advisory

In an advisory issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, it has been said that provisions have been made under the Civil Aviation Requirement (CAR) for steps to be taken by airlines to deal with unruly passengers. Apart from this, it has been said that the responsibilities of the pilot, crew members and director of in-flight service are also mentioned in the CAR.

Such cases have come to the fore

The DGCA said that in the recent past, some incidents like smoking in aircraft, indecent behavior due to consumption of alcohol, arguments between passengers and sometimes inappropriate touching or sexual harassment by passengers have come to the fore. In these cases, officers, pilots and crew members etc. sitting on responsible positions have failed to take appropriate action.

Threat to the safety of aircraft operations

DGCA believes that such incidents can jeopardize the safety of aircraft operations. For this reason, the regulator has asked all airlines to inform pilots, crew members and people in related positions on how to deal with unruly passengers appropriately.

so many people have been banned

Let us tell you that there are provisions like being banned from air travel including FIR for bad behavior or any rude act during air travel. In the latest Air India case itself, the accused passenger was not only offloaded from the plane, but an FIR was also lodged against him and he was handed over to the airport security personnel. Minister of State for Civil Aviation VK Singh had told in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on April 3 that in 2022, airlines have put 63 people in the ‘no fly list’.
