What is the latest update from EPFO?
Recently, EPFO had talked about starting the process of sending interest to its more than 6 crore subscribers, after which the subscribers are eagerly waiting for it, however, the interest credit has not started yet and the subscribers are asking when. Till then they will get the interest money. A subscriber recently asked on the X platform, “When will the interest for FY 2022-23 be visible in our passbook?”
To this EPFO replied that “The process is still in the pipeline and will be visible there in some time.” EPFO said on the amount of interest, “Whenever interest is credited, it will be credited in full on your entire amount by accumulating it. You will not suffer any loss on interest. Please be patient.”
How will I know whether the money has arrived or not?
EPFO has instructed its offices to start crediting money into the members’ accounts, in such a situation, if you keep checking the passbook of your EPF account, you will know whether your EPF interest money has arrived or not.
How to check EPF Passbook?
You can check EPF Balance in many ways. Many facilities like EPFO Portal, Missed Call, SMS are available in it.
1. How to check passbook on EPFO portal
Step 1- First of all you have to visit EPFO Portal https://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_en/index.php go toFor this you must have your UAN (Universal Account Number) activated.
Step 2- Once the site opens, go to the ‘Our Services’ tab and then select the drop-down menu ‘for employees’.
Step 3- Click on ‘member passbook’ below the service column.
Step 4- On the next page you will have to enter your UAN and Password. Log in by entering the captcha.
Step 5- After logging in, enter the member ID. After this your EPF balance will be visible.
2. How to check EPF passbook through missed call
You can also check your EPF balance by giving a missed call on 011- 22901406. On making a call, you will receive an SMS in which your balance will be reflected. For this you will have to enter the mobile number registered with the EPF account. Along with your PAN and Aadhaar number, your bank account number should also be linked to your UAN.
3. How to check through SMS?
Like missed call service, all your important documents should be linked to UAN, only then you will be able to use this service. For this, you will have to SMS EPFOHO UAN ENG (or instead of ENG, write the code of whatever language you want the message in) to the number 7738299899.
