Ujjwala Scheme: Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has given good news to the women beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme in the festive season. CM Yogi has recently announced to give two free LPG cylinders under this scheme.
This was the election announcement of BJP in UP, and now it will start from this Diwali. One free cylinder will be available this Diwali and the other on next Holi. In such a situation, it is important to know who will get its benefit and which documents will be required.
Who will be able to apply?
- Only women can apply under this scheme and their age should be 18 years.
- There should not be any other LPG connection from any OMC (Oil Distribution Company) in the same house.
- Adult female belonging to any of the following categories – Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), Most Backward Class (MBC), Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY), Tea and East Tea Garden Tribes, Forest Dwellers, Island and River People living in the islands are included under SECC families (AHL TIN) or any poor family as per 14 point declaration.
Which documents are required?
- Know Your Customer (e-KYC) – E-KYC is mandatory for Ujjwala connection (Not mandatory for Assam and Meghalaya.) –
- Applicant’s Aadhar card and address certificate as identity proof if the applicant is residing at the same address. Resident as mentioned in Aadhaar (Not mandatory for Assam and Meghalaya)
- Ration card issued by the state from which the application is being made/other state certifying the family composition Government Document/Affidavit as per Annexure I (For Migrant Applicants)
- Basis of beneficiary and adult family members appearing in the document.
- -Bank account number and IFSC.
- Supplementary KYC in support of family status
- Applicants can apply to any distributor of their choice either by submitting the application to the distributor or by placing the request through the online portal.
