Jharkhand Farmers Loan Waived Off: There is good news for farmers in Jharkhand. The government is going to waive off loans of up to two lakh rupees of farmers. Actually, the loans taken by farmers from 50 thousand to 2 lakhs till 31 March 2020 will be waived off through ‘One Time Settlement’.
Farmer Loan Waived Off: In Jharkhand, farmers’ loans up to two lakh rupees will be waived off. Farmers who have taken loans from 50 thousand to two lakhs till March 31, 2020, will be waived off through ‘one time settlement’. The government had announced the loan waiver in the budget presented in February this year. Now the proposal related to this has been approved in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of CM Hemant Soren.
Gram Pradhans also benefited
Earlier, loans up to Rs 50,000 of more than 4 lakh 73 thousand farmers of the state have been waived off. More than Rs 1,900 crore was given to the banks by the government under this head. The cabinet has also decided to double the honorarium of Gram Pradhans and various level office holders under the traditional village self-governance system in the state.
