Government Schemes for Women: The Central Government is running several schemes to improve the standard of living of the common people across the country and to empower them economically. What is Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana

To prevent the problem of malnourished children across the country, the Central Government launched the ‘Matrutva Vandana Yojana’ (PMMVY) on January 1, 2017. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to pregnant women by the government. The government provides Rs 6000 for the care of new born children and prevention of diseases. For this scheme, the age of pregnant women should be less than 19 years.

While the last installment of Rs 1000 is provided by the government to the hospital at the time of the birth of the child.
