Gratuity Rules: Important news for employed people. If you also get a salary of 50 thousand rupees, then in this news you should know that how much money you will get as gratuity.
Employed person gets all kinds of allowances along with salary. One of these allowances is Gratuity, which is given in lieu of working with a company or employer for a certain period of time. Although all employees are entitled to gratuity, but there is a lot of difference in the rules. In such a situation, the question arises as to how much salary the employer pays as gratuity.
In this regard, there is a direct formula under Gratuity rules that it is calculated on the basis of last salary. This includes the total duration of the job. The amount of gratuity is added every year equal to 15 days salary, which is given to those employed for 5 years or more. Even 15 days’ salary is not added to the salary of the whole month, but it is believed that except for four Sundays every month only 26 days work is done. In this case, instead of 30 days, only 26 days are included for the calculation of gratuity.
How much gratuity on salary of 50 thousand –
The fixed formula for calculating gratuity is last salary X years of service X 15/26. On this formula, if the last salary of a person is 50 thousand rupees, then how much gratuity will he get. Suppose someone’s basic salary is 25 thousand rupees and he gets dearness allowance of 15 thousand and 10 thousand rupees in other items. In this way the total salary becomes 50 thousand rupees.
Suppose that person worked for 20 years and 10 months, then his total years will be considered as 21. Gratuity on this will be calculated on the basis of 50 thousand X 21 X 15/26. In this way, a total of Rs 6,05,769 will be received as gratuity.
The rule will change here-
even if a company or employer is not registered under the Gratuity Act, it can give its benefits to its employees. However, the formula for calculating gratuity will change for such employers. Here gratuity will be calculated on 30 working days directly instead of 26 working days every month. Suppose the last salary of that person is 35 thousand rupees and he has worked for 21 years, then the formula will be 35 thousand X 21 X 15/30. In this way a total of Rs 4,24,038 will be paid as gratuity.
