Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren has announced a new scheme during the review of the Medical Education and Family Welfare Department in Project Bhawan. The state government has decided to provide health insurance of Rs 15 lakh to 33 lakh families of Jharkhand.
The name of this scheme will be Abua Health Insurance Scheme. Its benefits will be available to those families who have red, green or pink ration cards. Chief Minister Champai Soren has directed the Health Department to immediately prepare the proposal of the scheme and send it for cabinet approval.
The Chief Minister directed the officials that there should not be any confusion or discrepancy on the implementation of both Ayushman and Abua Health Insurance Scheme. They should understand the technical aspects. Make it clear in the proposal, so that the beneficiary does not face any kind of problem. The Chief Minister has indicated to start Abua Health Insurance Scheme in July.
The Chief Minister instructed to put the name and mobile number of the doctor and health worker posted in all the health sub-centers of the state on the board. So that the patients and their families coming for treatment get convenience. He said that this is a very important scheme of the state government, whose aim is to provide better health facilities to the poor and deprived families.
Instructions to start critical care unit in health centers
During the review, the Chief Minister has instructed to provide OPD and medical checkup facilities in the same building in all the hospitals. Along with this, he has asked to make boundary wall in all the health sub-centers and other hospitals. Instructions have also been given to increase the number of dialysis units in hospitals,
install MRI machine in Ranchi Sadar Hospital, ensure drinking water, toilets and electricity, delivery room, medical equipment and medicines in hospitals. Apart from this, instructions have been given to start ICU beds and Tele ICU Enabled Care Critical Care Unit in health centers.
