Heavy Rain Alert: IMD has issued a big alert in many states of the country. Along with strong winds, alert has been issued regarding lightning, heavy rain and hail.
Till April 4, there may be thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds at a speed of 30 to 60 kmph in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra. The weather may remain the same in Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Odisha on April 1 and 2 and in Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and interior Karnataka till April 4.
The weather may remain hot and humid in Saurashtra, Kutch, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam and Meghalaya. Yellow alert (Weather update latest news) has been issued in all these places.
There is a possibility of gradual increase of 2-3 degree Celsius in maximum temperature in eastern India till April 2 and there will be no major change till April 4. Maximum temperatures are likely to increase by 2-4°C over northwest India by April 2 and there will be no significant change till April 4.
