Now a new twist has emerged in Hemant Soren’s case. Now two electricity meters have been found on the 8.5 acres of land for which the former Chief Minister was arrested.
ED has sought complete information related to this from Jharkhand Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited. ED has issued notice to JBVNL. JBVNL has sent a letter to the General Manager of Ranchi asking him to provide details in this matter.
Hemant Soren Case Update ED has sought complete information from Jharkhand Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited (JBVNL) about in whose name the two electricity meters are on the disputed 8.5 acre land located at Bariatu in Baragain area. Regarding this, ED has issued a notice to JBVNL and has sought a reply soon.
JBVNL has sent a letter to the General Manager of Ranchi asking him to provide details in this matter. However, till now ED has not received any reply regarding this. New electricity connection is available only on the basis of house documents like deed, holding etc.
The details received from JBVNL will strengthen ED’s evidence. ED had arrested former Chief Minister Hemant Soren on January 31 for grabbing the same disputed land of Bariatu.
Custody period of Hemant Soren and Bhanu Pratap extended
The appearance of former CM Hemant Soren and Sub-Inspector Bhanu Pratap Prasad in the ED court in the case of 8.5 acres land of Bargai area was done through VC. The court has extended the judicial custody of both of them till March 7. His next appearance will be on March 7.
Let us tell you that Hemant Soren was interrogated by ED by taking him on remand for 13 days. Bhanu was taken on remand for 12 days and interrogated. After this he was sent to Birsa Munda jail in judicial custody. ED is investigating the land scam. Hemant Soren, Bhanu Pratap Prasad and others have been made accused in this case.
