The weather may remain hot and humid in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema till April 25. Marathwada, Bihar, Jharkhand will also experience intense heat and humidity till April 24.

Konkan and Goa on April 22 and 23, Madhya Maharashtra on April 24 and 25 and southern parts of Gujarat during April 22-24 are also likely to experience hot and humid weather.

Most areas of North, Central and East India are yet to get relief from the scorching heat and heat wave. From Punjab and Haryana to Bengal and Odisha, there is a possibility of severe heat along with strong heat wave for the next four to five days. During this time, hailstorms along with thunderstorms and heavy rains may occur at different places in the states of North-West to North-East India. At some places, the temperature may also increase by 2-3 degrees Celsius.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), heat wave will prevail in some areas of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and eastern Rajasthan till 25, 26 April. Intense hot winds are likely to blow in Haryana and Odisha during 22-25 April and in Punjab during 22-26. Heat wave may prevail in Gangetic plains of West Bengal and western Rajasthan during 23 to 26 April. At the same time, intense outbreak of heat can be seen in Bihar and Jharkhand on 25 and 26 April.

According to the IMD, the weather may remain hot and humid in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema till 25 April. There will also be intense heat and humidity in Marathwada, Bihar, Jharkhand till 24 April. Hot and humid weather is also likely to prevail in Konkan and Goa on 22 and 23 April, Madhya Maharashtra on 24 and 25 April and southern parts of Gujarat during 22-24 April.

Mercury will rise in these states
The maximum temperature in Northwest India is likely to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius during the next six days. The maximum temperature in Central India and Gujarat may increase by around 2 degrees Celsius during the next 3 days. On the other hand, mercury in Central India may rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius after the next 24 hours during 6 days. The maximum temperature in Eastern India may also rise by 4-6 degrees Celsius.
