Jharkhand News: In Ranchi, CM Hemant Soren himself had reached the airport to receive the dead body of Jagarnath Mahato. Bokaro’s Chandankiyari sand artist paid tribute to him with his art.
Jagarnath Mahto Last Rites: The mortal remains of Jharkhand’s education and prohibition minister Jagarnath Mahto reached Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi on Friday (April 7). All the cabinet ministers and MLAs including Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid tribute to him. After this, the body of Jagarnath Mahato was taken to his constituency Dumri.
After paying homage there, his body was taken to Alargo in his native village Bhandaridih. Here a crowd of supporters who loved Jagarnath Mahato gathered. People raised slogans of ‘Jagarnath Da Amar Rahe, Hamara Tiger Amar Rahe’, people paid tribute to him at his ancestral residence. After this, the rituals of the funeral were completed and Akhilesh Mahato, the only son of Jagarnath Mahato lit him at the Damodar river ghat. He was cremated with full state honours.

In Ranchi, CM Hemant Soren himself had reached the airport to receive the mortal remains of Jagarnath Mahato. CM Hemant shouldered the dead body of Jagarnath Mahato. After this, after paying homage at the JMM office, CM reached Alargo of Jagarnath Mahto’s native village Bokaro Bhandaridih. Here, meeting Jagarnath Mahato’s wife, expressed condolences and tied her up. Bokaro’s Chandankiyari sand artist paid tribute to him with his art.
There is mourning everywhere in Bokaro district on the demise of Minister Jagarnath Mahato. Everyone is paying tribute to him. In this sequence, sand artist Shankar Mahato of Chandankiyari engraved the picture of minister Jagarnath Mahato on the banks of Damodar river and paid tribute.
On the demise of minister Jagarnath Mahato, the state government has announced two days state mourning in Jharkhand. On March 14, his health deteriorated after which he was admitted to MGM Hospital in Chennai.
