According to the SP, three armed miscreants reached the bank riding a motorcycle. After this, two miscreants with weapons entered the bank. They threatened the bank employees with weapons and then locked them in the bathroom. After this, they looted the money and came out, where their third accomplice was standing ready with a bike.
On Friday morning, three armed miscreants robbed a rural bank in Palamu district of Jharkhand. While committing the crime, the miscreants fled away after looting Rs 5.5 lakh from the bank. Palamu SP Reshma Ramesan told PTI that the incident took place around 10 am.
He told that the miscreants committed the crime immediately after the bank opened. The branch of this bank is in Padwa village of Patan police station area, about 185 km from Ranchi. According to the SP, three armed miscreants reached the bank riding a motorcycle. After this, two miscreants with weapons entered the bank.
At the same time, the third criminal was standing near the motorcycle waiting for his associates to come out. After this, the miscreants reached inside the bank and started threatening the employees at gunpoint. The bank employees were picked up and taken to the bathroom and then locked there.
Criminals will be arrested soon – SP
After this, the miscreants fled from the spot after taking money from the bank. The SP said that after the robbers fled from the bank, the employees raised an alarm. After this, people nearby came and took him out of the bathroom, then they informed the police about the incident. SP said that the police has started investigating the matter. The criminals will be caught soon.
CCTV camera footage of the bank and surrounding areas is being scanned to trace the criminals. Along with this, we are also taking help of informers. Efforts are being made to catch the criminals through technical surveillance. Police teams have been deployed to uncover this incident.
