A businessman who was shaving in a salon in Lohardaga was shot dead by criminals in broad daylight. The deceased has been identified as Naresh Kumar Sahu alias Shibu Sahu, resident of Sobarantoli, Lohardaga. It is said that at 9.30 in the morning, a businessman sitting in a salon in Serenghatu was shot by unknown criminals.
According to the information received, Shibu Sahu had reached the salon early in the morning to get shaving done. A criminal came with a pistol in his hand and shot him at close range. Shibu died on the spot due to bullet injury in the head. The criminal fled from there after committing the crime. Local people told that two criminals had come on a bike. One remained sitting on the bike, while the other got down and committed the crime.
Shibu was associated with land business.
It is said that Naresh Kumar Sahu alias Shibu used to do business of cement and land. A few months ago, he had also applied to the district administration for issuing arms license for his safety. As soon as information about the incident was received, senior police officers reached the spot with their team. Station in-charge Vedant Shankar said that the police is investigating the matter.
